Do you see me?

When you look at a person, who do you see? Do you see her, with her history and personality, do you see the way she experiences herself? Or do you rather see your own desires, illusions or disillusions, and your projections? When you judge a person, who do you judge? Looking at this girl, do you see her or do you see yourself?

This painting is made over a collage of paper on canvas. I painted in various layers and mainly with oil. I also use  spray paint and acrylics. 

Then i put the canvas on wood and applied layers of liquid glass, painting in between the layers. The liquid glass  makes the colours more lively and sparkling, and give a profundity to the image. It is as if the faces are under water. Depending on perspective and light, there are different reflections that play with the painted image, and magical light effects.
